Need a haircut

I have no idea why this piece came out so pixelated, but it's okay, I love the color too much to disregard it.

Something I noticed over lockdown, was peoples weird desperation for haircuts. Instead of partying or meeting up illegally during lockdown they were instead sneaking in illegal haircuts.

It really highlighted for me the reality of people's desperations to be beautiful.

Even when in lockdown, when no-one can see them... we are all still so desperate to look attractive.

Therefore, I wanted to create a piece that encompasses this strange mental state with this intense neon green. The scissors fly around my mind as my reality washes away in front of my eyes.

I myself need a haircut in this image, though I didn't actively seek a professional. In the end I did it to myself... which led to some very questionable micro bangs, coupled with the shortest bob I've ever had.

It was extreme for me, but then again, fair enough as I though the world was ending.
