Busan

For the past three years I have been living in South Korea, taking a big break from my art life. I was a teacher, a cleaner, a receptionist and a manager.

In my third year I got the opportunity to star in a Korean documentary about foreigners living with a working holiday visa. Together we explored Busan and restarted my Art practice.

At the end of the documentary they asked me to create a painting of Busan through my eyes.

This scene was created using photos taken around various areas of Busan. The image features medium size fishing boats and Korean style food stalls. I have put my own mark on it by instead of humans enjoying the delicious seafood of the seaside city, but instead the seafood itself.
